At the request of Abraham Amirchanianz, son of Mirza Ferukh the BFBS decided to print his father’s MS version of the NT, after revision by Amirchanianz, who also translated Romans, which was lacking in the MS. Published London: BFBS, 1877. (DM 9383). The New Testament, London: BFBS, 1878.

In 1836, the BFBS received the MS of St. Matthew’s Gospel, but in 1835 this branch of the Basel Mission had been suppressed and the missionaries expelled.
